02 — Ethos
An honest handshake.
We won’t move metal. We’ll place automobiles. Here’s what that means in practice — and what we won’t do.
i.
Pre-Purchase Honesty
Every car gets an independent inspection before it reaches the floor, and the full report goes in the folder. Compression and leak-down numbers. Paint readings on every panel. Photographs of the underside, not just the good side. If there’s a fault, it’s written down in plain English before you have to ask.
ii.
The Right Buyer
There is no commission sales floor here, and no one working a quota. We’d rather a car sit a month longer than place it with someone who’ll resent it. The best owners drive what they buy — and we’ll gladly say no to a sale that isn’t right.
iii.
Lifetime Custody
Every car we sell keeps a permanent file in our archive. When you sell it on — next year or in twenty — we’re a phone call away to confirm its history for the next owner.
Why Phoenix
The desert is kind to old cars.
It’s not a coincidence that the best-preserved ’90s cars in the country turn up here.
No salt. No rust.
Year-round dry air, no winter road salt, and no humidity. Twenty-five-year-old metal survives here.
Six hours from the port.
Long Beach is where most 25-year-eligible imports come ashore. We can inspect in person, not from photos.
Minutes from Sky Harbor.
Out-of-state buyers can fly in, spend two hours with the car, and fly home the same day.
What we won’t do
A short list of refusals.
- List a car we haven’t had independently inspected
- Hide a fault, or wait for you to find it
- Sell a car without clean title and paperwork
- Import anything that isn’t legally eligible
- Pressure you with a “someone else is looking” call
Documented. Garage-kept. Driven sparingly.
The list
Be first through the door.
The Floor opens in Phoenix in 2027. The list hears about the first cars, the opening date, and the occasional drive worth taking — before anyone else. A few emails a year, never more.
